Victoria Falls
The Victoria Falls constitutes one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world and is a must-visit site for any traveler. The local people call it "Mosi-oa-Tunya", the smoke that thunders and the Zambezi River and its epic waterfall forms the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The Victoria falls is 1 708 meters wide, making it the largest curtain of water in the world. Besides the Falls, the Zambezi River and the National Parks in the vicinity of the Falls offers visitors a range of adrenaline and leisure-based activities.
Hwange National Park
Hwange National Park, the largest Park in Zimbabwe is located in the northwest corner of the country about one hour south of the mighty Victoria Falls. Hwange National Park’s 1.4 million hectares support a mix of habitats ensuring large numbers of animals all year round – elephant, buffalo, sable, roan, giraffe, wildebeest, impala and even gemsbok. Hwange boasts a tremendous selection of wildlife with over 100 species of mammals and nearly 400 bird species recorded.
Mana Pools National Park
Situated in the northern region of Zimbabwe, on the southern banks of the Zambezi River, Mana Pools National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is a wildlife-rich, biodiverse wilderness area. You can expect to spot hippopotamus, crocodile, elephants and a wonderful array of birds here and there’s a good chance of seeing the resident lions and wild dog hunting around waterholes and close to the River. The Park is far away from any human settlement and very remote. Explore the Park and the Zambezi River during daily game drives, bush walks, canoeing safaris and boat cruises.
